    She looks a right work up for the deck crew Fred, 20 derricks plus Jumbo, and hard to see , but probably wooden hatches and tarps. Plenty of work there, how many deck crew did she carry, kt

    Haven't a clue Keith I was catering.. last 9 trips as 2nd Steward, I fed them, but didn't count them, chuckle.

    and made sure they got their rum issue on the winter trips.

    I was on the Beaverdell in 1948/9 after doing a few trips with Port Line and it was strange how long the trip seemed if a Beaverboat two an extra day or two. Also sailed on the Beavercove in 1951. Think both were the best two companies with the Beaverboats a little ahead.
