    Hi,

    I was about to give the same advice about Arnold Hague's convoy data base, and agreed, you need a vessel or convoy name to get anything of value from it. You might consider trying the Crew List Index Project https://www.crewlist.org.uk. They tend to specialise up to 1913 though.

    In the National Archives, the best place to check is the Central register of seamen (Fifth register of seamen) and also the so-called 'Seamen's pouches'. And it is always worth getting a full membership in Ancestry, which is now posting more military records.

    Arnold Hague's convoy data base does also however have a listing of War Dead , possibly not all but a name search can be done
