    I have this J Taggart as Trimmer (Fireman)
    Dis Number shown as 1003002 CR2




    First name(s) J
    Last name Taggart
    Event year 1921

    The Event was on the Ship Official Number 143433 Aged 43

    1919 SIRIS 5242 V1919 #1720 Royal Mail SP Co GBR London

    Don't know if any of this posted info is correct as it says!

    There was no official registration of merchant seaman between
    1857 and 1913
    . The Merchant Navy began to register its seamen again in 1913, in the central indexed register, or Fourth Register of Seamen.

    Thanks for information. Age ties up as does Trimmer, possibly also signed on in Newcastle. Cant see where the Dis number you are quoting is written. Where is this Document filed.?

    Cam across it when searching on FMP i dont know where that Number comes from as i have not seen one with those ammount of numbers bdfore,also in the Pic it seems that the Number above is not too clear and ruled through??
