Hello there, Yes, I'll be heading to the NA on Saturday - for this and other bits and pieces. Love that place. Expect to be there for the entire day. Best regards, Sonia
Jacko.JPG Oh dear... Trying to attach an image but I'm such a technophobe. Anyway, I found him in the Red Cross records: https://grandeguerre.icrc.org/en/File/Search Also, checking the archives in Berlin; I know that there was an ill thought of doctor, Julius Weiler, who ran a so-called sanatorium. There were several deaths, sadly, and many could have been attributed to the poor care they received at Weiler's hands. It was a revelation to learn that he died in the camp.

Would like to share: I found 2 lists of British ships impounded in German waters, but need to work out how to attach Word docs...
I found this thread while searching for info about my Great-Great-Grandfather, Robert Bowditch. Just over a year ago I had applied to the CWG to request that his name, which had been left off by mistake, be included in the list of WW1 deaths. At the time they could not add him as they needed a death certificate which no one could find. However yesterday I got an email that my appeal a year ago to consider his case on grounds of the other evidence (like archives of cables mentioning his death) has now been successful and he has been added. https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/fi...bert-bowditch/ We are keen to continue to find out more about his life and fate, so if anyone has managed to find any more information in the last 5 years since this post was made about him or the crew of the Sappho we would be greatful to hear it! Thanks
