Hello Kathryn or Keith
Could one of you perhaps do a full update as to what we have so far as the Thread is now rather long and I for one am getting lost LOL
would be appreciated with all details so far please in one place!
Cheers
Not 100% sure as trying to find correct Alfred. His name I got from James Maloney/ Emily James marriage cert. They only list fathers! Trying to find Marriage for Alfred Maloney anywhere from 1829 to 1870 as not sure if James was oldest or youngest in family. One family I found up north had the Mum as Widow in 1871 or was it 1881 Census with a whole tribe of children born in Ireland eldest born 1852 or 1842 approx and James Maloney was first to be born in UK . This one was the one that peaked my interest in ships from Ireland.
Could this Marriage have been anywhere in the UK or is it only Ireland ,possibly liverpool??
Just trying! LOL
Alfred Maloney anywhere from 1829 to 1870
That's a lot of Years to search ??
Sorry everyone, this is what I know so far:-
James Maloney my great grandfather married Emily James Dec 25 1896. He was born from the listing of 1939 register(if correct) Aug 1871 and died aged 92 in 1963 from death cert. James Maloney's father listed on the marriage Cert is an Alfred Maloney Labourer. Tried to find the family in the 1881 & 1871 census but Alfred does not register. I know from my mother that James Maloney all 4 foot 9 1/2 inches of him had an irish accent tinged with Cockney accent. I at present don't know whom his siblings were or what his mother's name was. Tried to find both of them in 1901 and 1911 census and not coming up with much. One listing has James and Emily living with Emily's parents possibly but birth dates a bit wonky even though names of people correct. Found a widow up in Manchester or was it Liverpool that had a James Maloney born about year for my James Maloney , that had a tribe of older children all born in Ireland. This is what peaked my interest in Ships from Ireland to UK. When I do a search for Alfred Maloney no much is coming up. Alfred is definitely his name of certificate. nothing with this family is straight forward!
Sorry if things got a bit astray. Still trying to find Alfred and the Maloney link.
Cheers
Kathryn from NZ
As said earlier a small break through in linking all together is hoped for.
Thanks to all involved from our team that have actually assisted,
hopefully, Kathryn's update will bring all up to spec.
Regards,
Keith.
