Violet Jessop was a stewardess on the Titanic and survived the sinking .She was also aboard the Brittanic when she was sunk in 1916. Again Violet survived.

Very close Mike, but there is another bit to her story which makes her unique among Cunard/White Star crew.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Is it that she refused to go down on any ship.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

    Default Try!

Is it that she had been on board the one other ship of the class, the RMS Olympic, when it collided with the HMS Hawke in 1911. ??

Or has it got to do with the baby she helped!

Years after her retirement, she got a telephone call on a stormy night from a woman claiming to be the baby she saved from the sinking Titanic. The voice asked Violet if she saved a baby on that dreadful night. "Yes", Jessop replied. The voice then said "Well, I was that baby", laughed, and then hung up. Her friend, and biographer John Maxtone-Graham said it was most likely some children in the village playing a joke on her. She replied, "No, John, I had never told that story to anyone before I told you now." To this day, the baby she saved has never been positively identified.[citation needed]

Our friend RLT(Terry) hasn't posted a Teaser for a while,so how about this one to test our old grey matter.
We're all familiar with the Phonetic Voice Alphabet.....Alfa,Bravo,Charlie,Delta etc.
You don't have to be a seafarer to know it.The armed forces, the emergency services, aviation, and telephonists all use it to spell out words.
    Here it is:
    ALFA
    BRAVO
    CHARLIE
    DELTA
    ECHO
    FOXTROT
    GOLF
    HOTEL
    INDIA
    JULIET
    KILO
    LIMA
    MIKE
    NOVEMBER
    OSCAR
    PAPA
    QUEBEC
    ROMEO
    SIERRA
    TANGO
    UNIFORM
    VICTOR
    WHISKEY
    X-RAY
    YANKEE
    ZULU

    My Question is this:
What makes FOUR out of the 26) different from the rest? These Four are related by one fact.
The Four are:- CHARLIE,MIKE,VICTOR and X-RAY.
Clue. It's nothing technical(e.g. operational use) or a word-puzzle: just one thing which differentiates all four from the rest.

They are the only original words left from the phonetic alphabet used by US forces from 1941 and by the RAF from 1943.
