Some clothing has a small piece of the material with it, the concept is that you wash this to see if the color runs or how it will come out.

Maybe, just maybe if a scientist could come up with a similar idea for some immigrants...................................

#46... They already have John at least for politicians they call them ties, Red for left and blue for right. Would have been more appropriate for seamen to have been Red and Green. But Green being a not well like word in politics was probably discounted . Cheers JWS

    Hello,
I read today, that Jeremy Corbyn is proposing Bank Holidays for the UK saints - we will all 'celebrate' each other's National Day. So.......
    2018 = March 1st. St. David
    March 17th St. Patrick
March 30th Good Friday* existing Bank Hol
    April 2nd Easter Monday *
    April 23rd St. George
    May 7th May Day *
May 28th May Bank Holiday *
November 30th At. Andrew. His day stands between August and Christmas Day so not so disruptive.

    2019 - gets better.......
    March 1st. St. David
    March 17th St,. Patrick
    April 19th Good Friday *
    April 22nd Easter Monday *
    April 23rd St. George
    May 6th May Day *
May 27th May Bank Holiday *
    Nov 30th St. Andrew
My question is;- are these proposed new Holidays to be taken on the actual date, or the nearest Monday as is the tradition in the Uk for Bank Holidays? Witness the ridiculous May Day, which is celebrated in Russia and its satellites as 1st May and in the Uk , anytime between the 1st and the 7th
I have a feeling that this has not exactly been well thought out.........
    regards
    Brenda

Brenda, I think that if you are expecting Corbyn to think anything through, we will all be surprised. I think he was raised as the village idiot, kt

Somewhere a village is missing it's idiot.

But look at us here in Oz. We get a day off for a horse race, Melbourne Cup, a day off the day before Football Grand Final, day off for Queens Official birthday, and now a socialist politician has suggested the day before an election, state or feral, should be a public holiday so the people can use it to discuss and decide who to vote for.

Beam me up Scotty, the world is going to hell in a hand basket.

Although the full election manifesto's have still to be released, to date the headlines are.
    Conservative.......cap on energy prices
    Labour......More Holidays for all
    UKIP......Banning of full face veils
    Liberals.....Quiet to date
    SNP.....Usual ****e
Makes it a bit difficult to make your minds up between Conservative and UKIP.

Corbyn is an appeaser John and we all know that does not work, If the news is correct, he has said he would not use nuclear
weapons and would not bomb IS, I don't understand what goes on in his head , hopefully they will get shot of him.after the election and the party can rebuild as a decent opposition that to me is their only way forward as I just cannot
stomach the Liberals and greens, I agree with you the Tories are the only party at the moment and with Brexit Theresa May
needs all the backing she can get, I think she is by far the best hope the country has got right now. cheers JFC

Sadly there is no opposition in the UK anymore, the Tories will increase there majority, Brexit will be the smoke screen to heap more misery and austerity measures on the British people. But even I will vote tory in the election as Labour are just pathetic and the Lib Dems will sell there souls to the highest bidder if the need arises which it will not.

    Hi All.
As John has stated we are to have a new examination before people are accepted as Migrants to Aus. You must now wait four years, be fluent in English and Aussie values which will stuff most of the examiners as they don't know much English themselves; being mostly recent immigrants themselves, they get into the public service by mentioning the magic word IT. And most importantly immigrants must; after four years have a job, this is to make sure that we get rid of the bludgers as there are no jobs, but I digress, The Gov't has just found out what most Australians have known for the last ten years that 90% of immigrants from certain countries have never had a job since they arrived, but somehow they all have big houses, flash cars, and loads of kids, plus they own guns and are members of some of the worst criminal gangs ever seen in Aus. The Gov't are also stopping the importation of cheap labour from India for Maca's and the Pizza huts so that they can give the cheap labour jobs to Aussie kids to save on the dole. interesting times ahead.
    Cheers Des
