In need of help to make an old sailor happy.
Good afternoon all,
new to the page and new to forums so here goes.
My dad was on MNV The MAGICIAN in 1974. I've come across a video of him being "initiated" and it has got me hunting.
He often spoke of a chitty or certificate he received when crossing the equator. I'm unaware if this was official or something just done on-board. His mother lost it some years ago and it has always played on his mind, deep regrets about losing it.
can anyone help with sourcing a replica?
Also, any information pertaining to the ship, a crew list etc... it's his 60th soon and wish to present him with a box of memories.
His name was Stuart McCarthy (worked in the kitchens)
kind regards,
Rick McCarthy
