Great Bitter Lakes Association 50th anniversary event
Thank you very much to those of you who responded to my request for information about life on the ships stranded in the Suez Canal from 1967 to 1975.
My short book about experiences on the Great Bitter Lake is progressing well. I’m hoping to publish it to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Six-Day War around 5 June 2017.
I am also hoping to organise a reunion of former seafarers who were on the stranded ships to celebrate the anniversary. The anniversary event will be in Liverpool, possibly at the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
Please reply if you might be interested in attending this event.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you very much in anticipation.
