Drugs... When I was a youth drugs were around, think I tried a reefer once. Preferred tobacco. When became too costly and was all the scares about cancer I gave it away after 30 odd years of smoking and just couldn't afford. Tobacco is as much a drug as anything and anyone if they really want to can stop. I have very little sympathy for drug users unless they have acquired the habit through prescribed medication. I have least sympathy for these socialites who can well afford it and advertise it as the done thing. I am sorry if this upsets some but I see very little excuse for 95 percent of drug addicts. They have themselves to blame or their backgrounds have not provided the proper moral background for taken such illegal substances just to get what they think is a kick. JS

Drug Users should be denied treatment until they tell who their dealer is. Then he is lifted off the streets , all the way down the line to the Big One. The son of a friend hung himself, he was a druggy. It devestated the family, and they were quite well off, nice house and family.
In the old days I could hardly get 20 ciggys through the Customs search on the ship. Today they bring drugs in by the Container load. So what is going on with the Rummagers and Cuzzy men.???

A very Senior Federal Australian Police man was Jailed for Thirty years , this case was about two years ago , this guy was right up the top of the tree.
Drugs are so powerful now they are now part of the Economy. Worst of All Govts have let it become so.
Cutting back on Undercover resouces etc , without Us Mr Ordinary knowing anything. Its a terrible thing to say but Druggo,s and suppliers are getting off too lite, there is even a Drug breathyliser now on the roads, they are not using it to its full potential, those caught under the influence of drugs should have their car confiscated and the driver locked up until he says where he got the drugs from,
taking druggo,s rights of owning a Car would in some ways stop distribution as well. we have many lessons to learn other wise its too late.

set a good kid on in my factory....hard worker .....would put in any hoursto get brass .....sent him all over to collect money for me.....half cast lad ......picked up 8 grand for me in cash in the midlands ...no prob ......getting married got him a fridge and some carpet ...a year later he started on drugs and what a change...he got caught in a works vehicle buying heroin .......he was in a hell of a mess ......I spoke to his brotherwho was a well known hard man in leeds who sorted out his supplier......I paid his wages while he had rehab ....and gave him his job back whenhe came out he thanked me and said I had saved his marriage and given him a new chance ......4 months later the petty cash went only 40 0r50 quid .......so set a trap and caught him he was back on the heroin.......kicked him out......a year later he went into a bank in leeds with another smakheadand a cut down broom handle wrapped up to look like a gun they ran off with a few grand and hogh on the drug were sitting in the car sharing it out so high the police helicopter above was not even heard....the armed police took themand I think now it gave them about 10 to serve.......I would personally be happy to pull the trapdoor on any dealers

Cappy there are 1,000s of addicts who are beyond help. There are 1,000,000s of our youngsters who want a job/ home/ a car/ and a chance in life. The later should be given there chance forget the addicts give them the stuff for free. The sooner they all kill themselves the better for us all. I rest my case Terry.:mad:

The balance of opportunity in this country is skewed. I have two sons, both working one earns just under £30K, the other £20K.
In todays paper a Romanian woman who came to this country and had one of her kids here successfully fought the local authority in the courts resulting in another £2k. She takes in £28k a year in benefits, the system is all wrong.
When the benefits system was set up it was envisaged that you could only take out what you put in, now it seems everyone in Europe can access and receive benefits.
Time it was stopped.

how it ever got like this vic I don't bleedin no but I cant see it stopping now.......so why don't people who have served there country or worked all there life in hard jobs like mn get 28 grand a year so much wrong ......the old mum in law in hospital...worked all her life even with benefits getsa pittance.....it causes bad karma

This all started years ago soon after the war and maybe before that. Can recall whole areas where nearly everyone was on the dole or some other form of hand out. They where also UK citizens. They even made TV shows about living like this (Bread to name one). So in a way did they not encourage people to come and live in the UK and live like this. Not that I am for what is happening but we should also check out the cause of it all. It amazes me here in Oz that there are so many living on the social and they seem not only to be into drugs but can be seen at all the watering holes around the area every bloody day. That can only mean that not only are the kids being neglected but also why the feck should they grow up and go out to work when the parents live such a good life. This problem as I said has been going on since I was a kid long before rag heads arrived. As for the parasites in power well I can see them getting kicked out and a radical party being elected. Not because of their radical policies but simply because the current lot are so on the nose. Think that Terry has it right in legalising the drugs and then there can be a tax on them to pay for all the programs that these dead beats need. If life is so bloody bad that one needs drugs to survive then the alternative is to get out and make room for those that want to have a go at living.

A friend of mines son is a security consultant in Afghanistan. His Aussie boss went on leave leaving him in charge. Result he caught someone trying to smuggle a large amount of dope, he imprisoned another.
When his boss returned he informed him of his improvements and was given a bollocking for interfering with the drugs trade. The Aussie boss was in it up to his neck.

My problem with legalising Drugs , stems from the illegal supply , where are the government going to get their supplies from , If we legalise drugs , will the dealers in Columbia and Afghanistan , who buy Coco leaves an poppy seeds , give up and grow maize , I somehow don't think so , and then if we have legal drugs here we will get every drop out in Europe over here to party . I cannot see one sensible reason for legalising drugs at all . Making it legal in teh UK will not stop the Drug Barons , the shippers and the Dealers . Bombing the poppy fields and the Coco groves with Agent Orange might , shooting traffickers , shooting Barons , and locking up dealers for ten years , then locking up any prison officer , or policemen who are involved , but making it legal , does that mean that Boots the Chemist will be buying their Skunk off Jimmy the Man , so he stays in business . The class A drugs Kill ,

Class A drugs These include heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and LSD.If found guilty by a court of law of possessing Class A drugs you could go to prison for up to seven years and fined.
If you sell Class A drugs you could receive a life imprisonment.

Class B drugs
These include amphetamines, such as speed and barbiturates, and cannabis.
People found guilty of possessing a Class B drug could go to jail for up to five years and be fined.
Those caught and found guilty of trafficking a Class B drug can be sent to prison for up to 14 years.


Class C drugs
Drugs in this category include, tranquillisers, valium and anabolic steroids.
