    Hi John
If you click on her name you will get her details, She is 34 years old so is too young to have been at Whitley Bay.

I sailed with 400 of the Rockingham Mafia from Fremantle to Liverpool, in 2005, on the FUNCHAL, when I sailed back with Joe Finnegan. They were mostly from the Liverpool area, some were quite funny and others were fighting for all the 38 days.

    Cheers

John #68 I mentioned to you before that the most miserable ship that i sailed on was the Pennyworth so i dont think the lads induction to the MN was on the right ship and the right run.I think we agreed that the time I spent on it was'nt the best of runs,1 across to Seven Islands and 1 to Bone. The weather was rubbish and as i said I think the only time I went on deck was to empty the rosie.I think you did some trips to warmer climes and said she was a good happy ship.Maybe if the lad had been on a ship down to Sth Americagot passed Las Palmas got into the good weather had a few runs ashore in Brazil, Montevideo and BA it may have been a different story.
    Regards.

I hope he did have a change of heart Jim. The way he was going though I should of thought he wasn't far off from having very macabre thoughts about going out the hard way. Would have not liked to be responsible for that. However hope he did get round to the dancing girls. As this was 49 years ago and given he was 16, that would make him about 65 years now. Could be one of us old buggers on here hiding his shining light. Wasnt you by any chance was it Jim. Cant recall anyone else admitting to being on the Pennyworth. Although there was another if remember did on a Monrovia trip. Cheers John Sabourn

#83 Not looking for a paternal figure then. Funchal was scrapped shortly after that Brian. Or at least no longer exists anymore doing the same run. Was there that much of a mess left behind. Yes a lot of Poms in Rockingham area, also a lot of eyeties in the Fremantle area, all good ozzies now though. Cheers John Sabourn

Ivan had a look as B.K. advised, don't like looking at ladies statistics, as like going through their handbag, always ask the wifes permission before going through hers. Is W.A.. Cheers John Sabourn
