Whilst you are awaiting an answer Brian; when we lived in Kinclaven, Perthshire our septic tank overflowed and we called in the local JCB operator who happened to be Polish. I went out to check on the progress only to see him almost falling off the JCB with laughter. I asked him what the heck was so funny. "I'm digging a waterdrain for Mr Quartermaine". We had a few Poles in the area from the war years and they were highly respected for their loyalty.
And 'Tomb it may concern' - In Jakarta we lived on Jalan Makam - Graveyard Road - and all our water was from a well in the grounds. Having a glass of water was so much like having a tonic it went well with Gordons Gin.
