Rather coincidental you where at the NSTC the same time as me, I was there from January 3rd 1980 untill April 1980. One of my memories was when we did rowing and the instructor who was from Ireland used to row us to the pub and stop of for a drink or two then start with the lesson.
Also the cook who was known as level level.

yes my favourite ship was the mv dummura i completed a 369 days voyage we went all over the globe even got all me tax back baught a new honda cbx bike with it had a great crew all of us stayed over a year on it one guy his name was terry shell stayed 3 years beffore coming home with us what a party beffore we flew home
