Hi Jim.
Saw the Otaio many times on the Aussie coast, with your cadets on board, had a picture of her docking in London but left it on an old computer.

Typical numbers issued for various years are
1940 R 217400
1943 R 230000
1945 R 310000
1956 R 658000
1965 R 816000
1972 ??? Was R prefix still used at this time.
I would be grateful for feedback on whether these numbers look reasonable and also for some information on the numbers issued around 1972.
thanks

Hello David,My Discharge Book Number is:-R662767 issued on the 2nd October 1956 at Liverpool. Additionally my Fathers book Issued prior to 12/1907 was numbered 489844 the continuation book was numbered 692532 from 21st of August 1912.This Number stayed with him on subsequent books, the book issued on the 13th August 1942 had the same number .Stamped "Renewal Book Issued Free. Original Reported lost through enemy action"The Prefix R was not recorded on the replacement book, on the upper right corner of page 4 there is a stamp CR this is handwritten in the 1912 book.
