Roy Streatfeild Smith 1915 > ?

Hi

I would like assistance in where to go with:

1 - I have just acquired a photo of a ship and would like to know what ship it is.

2 - My grandfather Roy Leigh Streatfeild Smith joined the Merchant Navy I think in 1915 [Australia ?] and was

twice torpedoed off England and survived to return to Sydney, Australia. He went forward in life as a 'baker'

so I assume that that was what he did as a seaman.
