Australia-based good friend Chris Frame has written following our posting on the Ocean Bookshop aboard the QE2.

"I loved the bookshop too... What a special place it was!
It was aboard QE2 as an 11 year old that I stood there outside those beautiful bookshop windows looking at the 'Author on Board' sign and decided I wanted to have a QE2 book in that window one day. Thanks to people like you Bill who believed in our idea for the Photographic Journey book, I realized that dream in 2008 just 8 weeks before QE2 was retired.
It's changed my life for ever."

PS: Happily, Chris is soon to author his 12th book about liners.

I may have sailed with him, I was on her for her final World Cruise in 2008.
A regular Author who was always on board was `Mr Liner Man`, Bill Miller, who became a friend of mine as we had sailed together many times.
He wrote many books on all the Liners and as he had sailed on most of them he knew what he was writing about. I have some of his books.
