Our good friend Dr Konrad Rippmann of Hamburg has just written:
QM2 in all her beauty coming out of the dock - the freshly painted hull gleaming midnight blue in the afternoon sun. Two tugboats pulled and pushed, and a cloud was standing above her like in the old steamer days!

Cruising the Med
Our visit this week to Italy reminded me of our cruise from Genoa to the Eastern Med (Egypt, Israel, Turkey & Greece) in July 1988 aboard the infamous Achille Lauro. It was a two-week cruise.
