Check ! Pristine white boiler suit,Safety boots,ear protectors,sweat band ,torch--engine room door's on the maindeck midships, second on the right,well it was last time I saw an engineer go down there....
Don't spend too much time in that soundproofed ,air conditioned control room cancelling alarms! Join us in the bar later for a 'Tennents'Girls' can of lager or three and a couple of salt tablets....

Were you with Nosira from there beginnings?
I recall watching the launch of the first Nosira vessel from the Pallion yard in Sunderland. Nosira is Arison backwards and it refers to Mickey Arison, founder of Carnival Cruise lines, who was there at the launch along with a number of the heads of the CPR who were the moneybags behind Carnival.
Believe management of those Nosira ships was done by Bolten's? which again was rumoured to be owned by the CPR at that time.
