Here is a copy of your Uncle Joe`s obituary from the list of men and women lost on the Gloucester Castle.which is on the Tower Hill Memorial.

FARNWORTH, Deck Boy, JOSEPH, S.S. Gloucester Castle (London). Merchant Navy. 15th July 1942. Age 17. Son of Joseph and Primrose Lily Farnworth, of Bolton, Lancashire.

Thank you so much for your reply, Cyril was Auntie Brendas husband i think, but do you know who Joan was as i have never heard her name mentioned. i dont suppose you know anyone who has photographs of my Uncle Joey do you as i would love to have a copy of any to add to my family tree, next time you speak to Uncle David please pass on my best wishes to him, do you have his address as i would love to contact him again, i shall be visiting Bolton again in the Spring as my eldest son Damian lives there and i would love to see Uncle David again, i will be calling in to see Uncle Geoff also while i am there.

My late uncle Sidney Daniels was a survivor - he died in 18/09/1998 - I was fortunate enough to have visited him in 1984.
