    Default The German Raider

I have been given a pleasant surprise recently by one of our members Chris Smith who as given me some info and photo*s bout the raider that sunk our ship
Apparently Chris met some of the crew of the raider(Michel)a few years ago and Chris a very kindly sent to me some of the things that i was interested in
As i have stated before the Germans treated us a lot better than the Japanese it was only they way they sank the old G/Castle

It is often said ther is Honor among thieves. Maybe there was some honour between enemies at war. The average man be he army, navy,MN or other waas doing ajob, not a pleasant one but one he had in many cases no choice but to do. It was only the extremists, Nazi with death camps and the Japs with their atrocities toward prisoners of war, but for the rest taken to prisoner of war camps on both sides they were given reasonable treatment under terms of the Geneva convention.
