    Default Commonwealth Games

What a change to watch the games instead of hearing of wars, disasters, politics and people getting killed .
Scotland and Glasgow are doing a very good job all credit to them

Lou, I will be staying at the Scenic Hotel in Dunedin for a couple of nights probably the 1 and 2 November. One of the nights they are having a Scottish Night, with Haggis and I hope the whiskey to go with it. Dont know how far out of Dunedin you live, but if you can manage the trip to Hotel will buy you a few beers to go with the whiskey, you"ll have to supply your own kilt if that way inclined. Cheers and all the best. John Sabourn

    Lou
Newcastle United playing a friendly in Dunedin yesterday, has your fair town recovered from around 2000 thirsty Newcastle supporters descending on it?

I have not watched the Games from Glasgow. A bit busy, not a lot of time and so on.
I saw the Opening. and saw that fella who cannot sing, Rod Stewart trying to sing on stage, He was `orrible.
Why did they choose him to sing at the Opening. surely there are better singers than him. I turned it off and have not looked in since.
Rod Stewart Thinks he is a Scot,. He was born in London and lives in Los Angeles.
Also the Malaysian team and political leaders have complained that they had Scotty dogs. dressed in tartan and the name of each country on the side. It is an insult to Is lam to have a dog. A mu Slim must never touch a dog as it is unclean. They want Scotland to apologise to all mu Slims for using dogs. They said they want a Jihad against all dogs.
When I think of some of the places their hands have been I think I would rather trust a dog.
Are these people for real?? How many dogs cut the heads off people?
and on the same news program, Saudi Arabia has declared a fatwah on Mickey Mouse and on Tom and Jerry. as meeses are unclean.
Should someone tell them, they are only drawings in a cartoon?
    Cheers
    Brian.
