    Default Rugby and Soccer

Ihave been watching the world soccer and England were pitiful i have always said to my English son in law they will never ever win a world cup because they have to many foreigners playing in the English league
As for the England rugby team i think they played with alot more guts than the soccer team and they will be a to be a very good team very soon

    Hi Lou
Yes I have been watching the W Cup a bit as well, and I must say I was rather amazed that England didn't do so well, being their National Game! Always used to watch the English Football Leauge in my days there, and they were then very good!

As for the Rugby, well that is one of the things that seem to come and go with lots of the Nations,at one stage South Africa had a bad spell, but came back,so yes possibly England will do very well in the future!
    Cheers

Young English team, some even white, and given time and with the right management will do well in 2018. Rugby teams are normaly all English in UK and maybe that is why they do so well.

I am not a soccer fan at all , overpaid , prima donna's most of the Premier league ones , but foreign managers buying foreign players strikes me as insane , bring on academies with local players , grow an English team , and get the Premier league 90% home grown players , with 90% home grown managers , and we might get progress

All well and good Rob but the problem is there may not be enough good players interested in that. They go where the money is, even here in Oz we have EPL players and an overseas manager for them.

Rugby, a game played by gentlemen and watched by thugs, Football a game played by thugs and watched by gentlemen.

    Would agree with that Lou
I too watch a lot of Rugby a great National game of ours as you know, but there are also some vey very good Teams out there!

Football too is a most entertaining Sport to watch both on the Box and Live if one can !
Don't think there are too many Thugs in the game either!

More likely the percentage of Thugs that do go to watch whatever sport, are in the minority anyway!
    Cheers

    Sorry John!

However the Football especially is not to me as good as t used to be in the old days, with the Crowds much more well behaved, and I think enjoyed it more then, with those lovely Rattles going and the the Stadiums a real buzz! Well just my opinion.

What I forgot to add Lou was that this was a popular concept in Uk some years ago.
