My apologies Cappy, as you know I am not a googler. In fact can barely get by on computer, all this pasting etc what they talk about havent a clue and in no great hurry to learn. May be to do with a local term:

LUBBA, s. A name given to coarse grass of any kind ; Orkney.

"As to hills, they are covered with heath, and
what we call lubba, a sort of grass which feeds our
cattle in the summer time ; it generally consists of
