rats
i read a post recently about rats it reminds me about the episodesi had with rats after being on the jerry raider for a few weeks they transfered us seamen to the german supply ship a tanker called the charlotte schiemann it was to be a very different accomadation to the raider down in the bottom of the hold it was not very pleasant they must have been about 200 or more of us with a straw bed and a blanket after we had been on board a couple nights the rats started to run all over us but not only that the cockroaches also made them selves knowed one of the guys said we should catch the rats and train them to eat the cockroaches that was some of the humour we had i could go on about the time we was to be aboard the tanker till we got to singapore but thats another story
