    Wink Yes, I'm still alive!

Hi, Splash here, still alive and kicking after all these years!
This is my first time on this site so here's a quick overview of who I am:
Joined British Merchant Navy in September 1964, first trip deck boy on the St. John (South American Saint Line) and went on to serve as AB on: Nina Bowater,Lobito Palm, Landwade, Arabic, Margaret Bowater, Livorno, British Lantern, Lagos Palm, Gulf Briton, Palomares, Bristol Clipper, Freemantle Star, Auckland Star, Spring Lass, Tower Princess, Ebenezer Duncan, Ilorin Palm, Swedish Wasa, Sugar Refiner, King Edmund, Cardiff Clipper, King Egbert, Mary Weston, Loch Lomond, Ravenswood, William J Everard, Desdemona, Blenheim and then on to Trinity House for 8 years - after that back deep sea on Timber Star, BP Battler & Warrior, Barra & Rora Head, Autoroute and autostrada before starting Offshore in Diving Support Vessels in 1994.
I am still serving, as Bosun, on the subsea 7 vessel Seven Pelican at this time.
So - anybody out there know me? Get in touch (even if I owe you money...!!)
    I can't be the only R8 still working - or am I?

G'day Splash and welcome to the site. Great list of ships you have there, any dates to go with them? Never know if you list them on site you may well get to hear from some who knew you. So sit back with a cold one and enjoy the voyage.
    Happy daze John in Oz.
