    Default SS Baltanglia

    Hello,
I'm researching the SS Baltanglia (165459) which departed Manchester (Salford) on November 11, 1939.

    Where did it go to?

Next report is of Baltanglia departing Norway January 19, 1940 in convoy HN-8, destination, Rochester. Arrived Methil January 22, 1940 and then torpedoed and sunk January 23, 1940 off Lindisfarne.

I wonder if anyone has any information about where I can find out where the ship was between leaving Manchester in November and joining convoy HN-8 in January?

#3 referring to your dry dock post, oddly enough I had to spend 10 weeks in dry dock at Salford after the ship had a collision with a dolphin post and a lock key and then a grounding on the M.S.C. in the 70's. It was the only time I have been there, the photographs bring back pleasant memories of walking up the quay and watching some good football at Manchester United in Europe and in the old division 1.
