The first entry is for 'British Trust 301003' 21st dec swansea 1963 til 1st april 64 - Instead of a first signature it simply says 'extract from Dis 1' and then a stamped signature of 'a Williams' (I think its williams)
I was wondering if this is a replacement book? I have no idea - perhaps I am clutching at straws!

    The rest listed here are:

    RFA Wave prince 181127
    Earlsfield 169238
    Nicholas Bowater x 3 entries 187806
    Sarah Bowater 186287
    British Guardsman 301004

My other thought (instead of a replacement book) is that he just said he was in a shipwreck to woo the ladies!
Interestingly - the ship you mention is related to banana shipments - I believe my mother may have a connection through possibly my grandfather or her uncle naval wise who brought bananas to Bristol in the 1950s? I dont know who. I dont want to confuse the thread as I have no records of that side of the family - just names (surname Thomas).

Sounds very much like either a replacement or a second Book ,that would be given if his first was full???

I can see from other research that the master I thought might have been Harkins is actually 'A.D Harkness - Sarah Bowater' which was March 1965 cornerbrook Newfoundland to Ellesmere Port April 1965.

Looking at the training courses, it would be interesting to know more about these. There are a few separate threads with similar things but they havent been replied to since 2014 so not sure if to respond to it.

1964 - City & Guilds Catering - Supt: Jacques and another name I cant decipher.
1966 - Cat Management Theory ONC Grade C - Supt: DL Jones
1966 - Stewards Pro Exam - Supt: D Evans and WK Tarry? (poss)

This will not really help in your research into your father's life at sea, but in one post you say his discharge book is a replacement one and has a stamped signature of " Williams" in it. If that is the case then it is most likely a replacement for a lost ( for whatever reason) discharge book that was issued to him in Liverpool. My first discharge book was issued in 1967 in Liverpool and is stamped with a stamped signature of j d Williams, issuing officer.
