Don Boyer
First post here. I am Don Boyer, from Haleiwa, Hawaii. Joined the site to make it easier to research British merchant vessels involved in World War II in the Pacific and earlier. My main focus is on World War II in the Pacific and the ships that served and fought during that conflict and of course going back to the Spanish-American war and a little dabbling in the days of sail. Former US Navy Gunner's Mate Technician and a student of naval warfare for over 60 years.

Re: Don Boyer
I got tired of the "frequent visitor" thing, having lived in Hawaii four times -- came back in '97 and have never left. Keeps me close to my naval interests -- Pearl Harbor, the USS Arizona (I was a Park Ranger there for several years) and the USS Missouri. Haven't had much business with the merchant navy, and feel I should expand my interests, starting with trying to track down that ship I can't find a photo of. Somebody on the site has already responded which is really great for me! Thanks for the cheerful welcome.
Regards,
don

Re: Don Boyer
Hello Don,
Hope you settle in and that we hear more from you.
Heard through the grape vine that the USS Arizona
Memorial at Pearl Harbour has closed indefinitely ?
You may be best placed to update us.
Regards Keith.
