Hi I served on the RFA Lyness and RFA Regent back in the early 70s as catering boy then ass steward I then moved on to Houlder Brothers serving on many ships inc cavendish,st Margret,hardwick grange ,stolt abadesa,westbury , humbolt . I left the Merchant Navy in 1975 and joined the army as a Metal smith in the REME.I left the army in 1979 and joined British Telecom as an engineer climbing poles etc ,I am now retired and living in torbay anybody that might remember me please contact thanks Steve.

Thanks for joining and giving us a wee bit of your history,i am sure you could tell a few Tales about all that!
This is just Merchant Navy jest mate but your one line looks rather well??
as catering boy then ass steward(That could well refer to the old Union Castle line the Lavender Boys ) I was a Steward as well with UCL but not ass Steward! All in jest mate!

Hi Stephen.
Welcome to the site hope you enjoy all there is to peruse on here. I was on the RFA Wave Baron but a few year before your time at sea, there are a few blokes on here who sailed with the RFA if you go to the top right hand corner of the page you will see a spy glass, type in RFA or the names of the ships you were on and click; might be someone you sailed with.
