did two trips on Chirripo 64, when i was given the ship in "the pool" as i left the building four or five lads sitting on the wall outside ,one asked me, what did yea get lar ,when i said "skin boat" they all jumped up and ran inside, you know when you get that feeling of being conned, lol.
but i enjoyed my time on her, and the good crowd, all got on well, good feeder too, arrr happy memories.
Also the best bosun i ever sailed with, Dave cant remember his last name, but supposed to be the youngest bosun to sail out of Liverpool.

Hi Capt (Brian, The Tilapa was my brother’s first ship. Directly to the Pool in Liverpool from the VINDI. Sailed as DeckBoy aka “Peggy”. Must find his first Book but think it was 1948 or 1949. Brought me a mouth organ from Jamaica. Cheers, Keith
