I have a balanced diet, bar of chocolate in each hand, as regards hearing I have been accused of having selective hearing.

Re: Hearing Problems?
Look fellas, may I suggest that maybe writing in upper case may be of benefit for those of harder hearing?
Then of course jelly in one ear and custard in the other can make you a trifle deaf.

Re: Hearing Problems?
I think most of us who worked with machinery have suffered hearing loss including my self. The wife and daughter think it may also be "Selective" lol. Think in the main it goes back to the early days of no ear protection. By the time ear protection came in the damage had already been done alas. Makes me shudder sometimes when I hear cars going past, driven usually by "The young" with radio on full blast, wheels bouncing off the road due to musical vibrations. Always say to the wife " Think they will be deaf by the time they hit forty years" Perhaps they are into chocolate lol

Re: Hearing Problems?
Thinking I had nothing to lose I decided to give the chocolate theory a try to find if my hearing improved.
The result was a complete disaster. After putting the chocolate in my ears it soon began to melt , dripping down my face and ruining my shirt. My wife began nagging and complaining as she followed me around with a sponge and cloth. The only good thing about it was I couldn't hear her because my ears were full of chocolate.

Re: Hearing Problems?
Noise damage is the number one cause of hearing loss and also causes tinnitus, but I think there's
a few "deaf" people out there who could be cured by a trip to the doctor to have their ears cleared
of wax, trifle and chocolate not to forget the odd hearing aid battery inserted in the wrong orifice
