Re: Knights Templars
Today the. 23 February 2019 Todays paper is page “ Didyou Know”. Copied here .
Establishedin 1118 . The Knights Templar was one of the earliest and most famous of the. European. Christian Orders. This organisation of Catholic warrior monks created a. Trusted international banking system in the Middle Ages. By the 1300s , the Knights Templar had become politically and enormously powerful. too powerful for King Phillip 1V of France who attempted to destroy the order to avoid paying his very large debt.. In a single day in 1311, he had all the. Templars in the country arrested .Their holdings confiscated . Only a few managed to escape to quietly regroup in other countries . A version of the order has survived through the centuries .
Today the Knights Templars are on the United Nations. Official list of non governmental. Organisations
Must be right because it’s in the paper.???!!!

Re: Knights Templars
There are a great many forms of history. There is factual history which is witnessed and recorded accurately at the time or shortly after. Although even this can be misleading because people see events differently.
There is ancient history recorded by unknown hand or named scribes sometimes years after an alleged event is said to have occurred. Stories passed by word of mouth with each person adding their own thoughts and opinions before an account is written.
There is the history of how certain people wish to see it recorded , putting themselves in a good light while omitting mistakes and failures. Favoured by politicians and generals.
There is history which is downright lies and misinformation often accepted as truth to protect reputations.
History is written by the victors , the educated , the rulers , the powerful concerns of the time. Which is possibly why history always repeats itself.

Re: Knights Templars
True Louis so where do you think the media get their info. From ?. I answered 5 questions put to me by a newspaper. I gave them 5 answers against my better judgement , this was 20 years after the event. 2 of the answers were published but did not coincide with what I had said, they were taken out of context with a total different meaning. This is on this site with a copy of the actual email of correspondence . This is the way history gets contorted , words being changed and replaced by others , do that a few hundred times and the incident ceases to exist, a bit like the German death camps for the Jews and other undesirables , and people actually beleive these false evidence of facts , by some ignoble writer of the untruth. And actually beleive those who say they never existed. However there is the consolation that if you are aware of the truth it doesn’t matter what others think. Your own conscience is clear, those that aren’t have their own problems. Maybe a place for that padded cell after all. And as said previously if Germany had won the war we would have been the villains. Cheers JS.

Two major historical events which changed all our lives. Hitler's decision to turn East and not continue West. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour.

Re: Knights Templars
We know that is true because we lived during those times. History however has a chance of changing with time. And when there’s no one of these times around who knows it to will be changed to suit the occasion . JS

Re: Knights Templars
Most of us remember Henry Ford is quoted as saying "History is bunk." He actually said "History is bunk. It's tradition. We don't want tradition. We want to live in the present and the only history that's worth a tinker's damn is the history we make today." The whole instead of a part gives a different meaning.

Re: Knights Templars
#156 The. Whole meaning of taking out of context, practiced frequently. By the media to statements people make in good faith. The media can put the fear of God into some, but today with a persons liberty to extol their misinformation are getting there by using their own weapons on themselves. I have extolled 3 of their misinformation to the public , and for those who have not seen them and put it down to freedom of the press, you talk to them and find out the hard way, my advice would be, don’t talk to them unless you want to be misinterpreted to some reporters benefit. Re: Knights Templars
There was a series here in TV, later on Netflix, called 'Knightfall'.
Ficticous but as the promo stated based on the fact of the Knight Templars existing.
From the series one got the feeling that the Pope of the day was not all that so many are portrayed as, more politic bias and destruction than modern day politicians.
But as has been said by, Humpty Trumpty who sat on the wall, Humpty Trumpty , has said it all, give me the money to build the wall or if you fail the nation will fall.
All fake news.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Knights Templars
Is a bit late in the day and may have already done so, but for the uninitiated who believe they know everything about freemasonry the following are the Orders in Western Australia. Also bear in mind that one has to be a master mason , and a Royal Arch mason before being acceptable into Preceptory that is the Knights Templar and knights of Malta Rhodes.....etc.
So the Orders of freemasonry in this state alone and there are others. Are....
The Grand Lodge of Western Australia.
The Royal Arch Chapter of Western Australia.
The Great Priory of Western Australia.
The Grand Imperial Conclave for Western Australia.
The Supreme Council 33 degree
Grand Council of the Order of Allied Masonic Degrees.
District Grand Lodge of Western Australia Under the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
Goldfields District Grand Lodge of Western Australia.
District Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Western Australia
Royal Order of Scotland
The Grand College of Holy Royal Arch Knight Templar Priests or Holy Order of Wisdom
The Worshipful Society of Free Masons.
Rectified Scottish Rite.
The Commemerative Order of Thomas of Acon.
Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia.
The media print a few scathing remarks about freemasonry and everyone susceptable enough thinks they know all about it. Even those who have been in the order all their lives would have to scratch their heads at times. Cheers JS
