Vegan really question mark
From the BBC today we have this report
*tribunal is to be asked to decide whether veganism is a "philosophical belief" akin to a religion, in a landmark legal action.
Jordi Casamitjana says he was sacked by the League Against Cruel Sports after disclosing it invested pension funds in firms involved in animal testing.
He claims he was discriminated against, and the tribunal will now decide if veganism should be protected in law.
The League Against Cruel Sports says he was dismissed for gross misconduct.
It denies the sacking was because of his veganism.
Mr Casamitjana says he is an "ethical" vegan.
"Some people only eat a vegan diet but they don't care about the environment or the animals, they only care about their health," he told the BBC.
"I care about the animals and the environment and my health and everything.
"That's why I use this term 'ethical veganism' because for me veganism is a belief and affects every single aspect of my life."
So if this guy gets his way ethical veganism will have the same protections in the United Kingdom as any other religion now I don't care if you only want to eat and Wear plant based materials it really doesn't bother me until you start telling me how to live my life and when it comes to the league against cruel Sports investing in animal testing well hypocrites comes to mind

Next thing Rob will be ethical organism, and all those inside for sexual offences will be suing for wrongful imprisonment. Is this case going through the European courts or the British courts ? Believe they are practically one and the same at the moment. JS

Re: Vegan really question mark
The latest from the Vegan community here in Melbourne.
All terms such as Cat 'o nine tails, hair of the dog, flat out like a Lizard drinking, blind as a Bat etc must be removed from the English language as they discriminate against animals with such wording.
you could not read about it I tell you, like a Nun on a penny farthing, verging on the rediculous.

Re: Vegan really question mark
It's the same in the UK, they want the phrase "catch a bull by the horns and bull in a China shop banned". No doubt there will be many more.
Thought police in action again.

Re: Vegan really question mark
Back in the 60's there was a woman, bit of an odd one but well known who daily ate grass in Regents park.
Most likely bread most of these people if the truth be known.

Re: Vegan really question mark
They seem to have been quite a few vegans on the radio chat programs lately telling her that meat is murder of innocent animals personally I wouldn't give any of them are time they can have their opinions but why should they impose them on me

I think it was Einstien or similar who said,
'Murder will be committed by man on man as long as man eats meat'
Maybe he was right
