Looking at the Crew Gangplank LOL
just how many times did we walk that one !
Those were the days when passengers just walked up the Gangplanks as well straight from the Train through the Customs House. How good was it then, loved it!

Memories, the past times of our life.

Recall her arriving in Cape Town on her maiden voyage, we were on the Windsor homeward bound.
She looked much smaller than we had anticipated but with very good lines.

But the film showed so much of the times, the dress styles, smoking in public, having good fun.

One guy I do recall, a winger at about the four minute mark of the film.
An Irishman by the name of Jimmy Keneally, worked with him as a tourist winger on the Windsor in about 1961 or so.

The skipper looked familiar, Mayhew maybe?
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Think that was Capt Authur Patey in 1961 John
George Mayhew was on the Windsor in 1960 never on the Transvaal

Vernon, do not want to disagree but the skipper of the Windsor was Oakley unless Mayhew did just the maiden voyage. Oakley was there from voyage 2 his name is listed on the last night of voyage tourist menus.
Sailed with Patey on the Pretoria in about 62.
