    Yes John a rubber stamp style skippers signature is what is on mine.

    Most likely was considered to be quite legal then as all the mention in the book was done with rubber stamps apart from the job, mine had asst steward amongst others hand written.

    But VG, home trade, mail etc all rubber stamp including ship and number.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Life is too short to blend in.
