    San Pedro Ca , ship at Huntingdon Beach , boat runs from Huntington Beach SPM to San Pedro , we step ashore , the agent warns us , last month a guy from a tanker , sailing that night , runs from the dockyard , told STOP or I'll SHOOT , tells the copper FU , I 'm just posting a letter , shot in thed back , lived , bet it hurt though

    Vernon, not just the drinking but other events as well.
    Mate of mine and myself had picked up with a couple of ladies we knew from previous voyages.
    Went back to on of their houses, in for a good time, I went to one room he disappeared somewhere else.
    Next morning on the way back I asked where he got to?
    I had gone to the only bedroom he thought, no I was on the sofa in the other room.
    He had taken her into some other spot which turned out to be where they stored coal and some straw for what ever reason.
    Ruined his suit with cols dust.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    In Calcutta on the Mandigala (Chartered from Prince Line) we had one evening in the Club. Our Chief Officer obviously took a bait and had to relieve his stomach of some not too good beer. Being gentlemen we collected empty glasses so that there would not be too
