Default Theft of Royal Navy wreck & human remains.

HMS Exeter Association are asking people to sign a petition regarding the ' Theft ' of the wreck and its human remains. The petition is asking for the human remains of the dead sailors to received proper burials. See below

"An up-date on the wreck and activities in Indonesia.
We know that the wreck of the HMS "Exeter" was discovered by Kevin Denlay and we know that the wreck has been stolen from the seabed by "Thieves" - putting it politely.
Some journalists have chased this story and found that the metal was brought ashore into an Indonesian port, and sorted; any bodies that were discovered within the wreckage were disposed of in a very shallow hole, some remnants were placed on a local rubbish dump.

The Dutch Government are currently actively trying to identify remains, as there were quite a lot of Dutch ships sunk during WW2.

The MP for Devonport, Luke Pollard, who is actively pushing our Government to do something about the fact that this is taking place. Whilst you may not wish to appear or have contact with the press, could I encourage you to spread the word, & at least sign the petition that Luke is running to make the Government do something".

Please sign the petition and spread the word, they all deserve to have an honourable burial and the remaining wrecks need to be protected. I have signed the petition, the link is HERE

    Thank you.
