###ah the grifters arms ......or locally cappys retreat ...there is an interesting story one guy whose family were the local jaguar dealers in harrogate had a son who was a avid yachtsman and drank in that bar and restaurant......he is reputed to have been sent on a mission to kidnap a german soldier on jersey.IN WW11 ......he was a regular over there getting news from the locals etc ....cant remember if he was succesful or not you can google the place its called .....THE WINDMILL INN AT LINTON NEAR WETHERBY a decent hostelry.......regards to gwen...cappy

Now if his name had been Purvis and he had a hunchback son called Tommy and was a native of Jersey , that would really be incredible. There are a lot of weird incidents in life . Sometimes I can see why some people agree with the supernatural. Cheers JS
