    A later "Port Napier" 1940, would Frank have on her at this time ?

    The Maritime History Archive, Memorial University Canada has Crew Lists for that Ship dates shown.
    You can Write to Tanya MacDonald (I always deal with her ) and ask

    Just north of the Kyle of loch Alshe is the torpedo ranges that the RN used to use in the late 70s and early 80"s. Spent a bit of time up there. The railway used to stop at the Kyle and is a beautiful part of the world. Don't think the train went any further. JWS

    Hi Vernon.
    Thanks for that i was puzzled as i couldn't find the Port Napier in my book of ships lost in second world war, not realizing it was a RN ship, but it was with the RN section, the book has every RN ship from barges to aircraft carriers lost in the war.

    The Discharge Number you give does not look correct?? But I may be wrong too. R2455
    Most R Numbers had 7 digits some possibly 6 ??

    Got them Gemma from same place as you and I do notice that R NUMBER . Gees never knew that oh well I learn too LOL Rating shown Trimmer BMS - Firemen, stokers and trimmers
