Fancy a wee Dram?
From the Daily Mail.
A bottle of the Macallan Scotch Whisky, hasnsold for a record price of £1.2m, which works out £43,000 a glass.
His, whose round is it?
The whisky was produced in 1926 and spent the next sixty years maturing.

Re: Fancy a wee Dram?
.I worked for many years in whisky bottling plants and Distilleries in Leith, and the advice from coopers was that after eight years the whisky did not improve I once got a sip of a 55 year old malt from the cask, it tasted like vinegar, I much prefer my 16 year old Highland Park bought at the Distillery in Kirkwall.
Once the whisky goes in the bottle it does not mature any more.

Re: Fancy a wee Dram?
When we married in Edinburgh my late father in law greeted all the guests from down South with a "wee dram" (or two) at his house prior to the Church. They still talk about it today (those that are still here), were all oiled well for singing hymns before they got to the service, and spoke of the wonderful hospitality of the Scots. The church minister thought the singing was wonderful. Thanks for the "Wee Dram"

And a bit more than a bottle of Penfold's plonk, at 5 shillings a bottle in the 50s.

Re: Fancy a wee Dram?
Once in the bottle does not improve.
Once out of the bottle is transformed into a wonderful drink, then later transformed into something else the sewage works takes on board.
I had my DNA tested, it showed I was part English, Part Scotch, part Gin, part Brandy with a drop of rum.
Happy daze John in Oz.
