And Vernon my reply was in reply to one by Lewis.
By which time as is not uncommon we had drifted from the original.

They are only going to be printed in the EU,they will
still be issued by the passport offices.I think that one
of the main reasons that they will be printed in the EU
    is because of the cost.

#2,33,38,I said the same thing maybe they need to trim their profit margins, but was advised that perhaps there was not a great deal of profit to be made. I am more inclined to think they played there hand badly and got greedy thinking it was a walk in the park all because of Brexit and they thought the government would not dare to have such a national Icon made abroad. Well looks as if they got that wrong. Go in with a low bid and then when the deal is done suddenly due to the increase in raw materials the costs will have to be increased. Ah!!!! bit like cost over runs with MOD contracts???

TM/PM was in my home town yesterday,
I would have asked her but,
guess she was not this way to meet the people.

Because its possible these days to scan your bank card while its still in your pocket, and you can buy a wallet that has a metal coating to prevent this, i was reading an article that said it had been suggested that passports can be scanned in the same way, and the talk had been to insert a thin metal mesh into passports, don't know if this has been taken up. But if that is likely to happen it may be a good idea, kt

If you only have a normal wallet you can stop the scan by placing a fridge magnet style business card in your wallet.

But now the scammers ae more interested in your smart phone as that in many cases has all the info on it.
    Bank details, personal info etc.

There is one number, it will show on your phone, but if you answer it all your info will be copied.
If you ignore it will not leave a message and if you attempt to call it nothing happens.

Put the number up on Mr. Google and it will tell you this is a scam.
