Phiippines seamen
From the latest Vindi news.
The Philippines which supplies a large number of the worlds sailors, now has a new training ship available, the 236ft MV Captain John B Lacson, which has been converted from an ice strengthened 1977 built German ship to accommodate 200 cadets and 33 crew .
She is sailing under the banner of the John B Lacson foundation Maritime university, founded in 1948, which has four educational and training campuses in the Philippines.

Re: Phiippines seamen
Not surprised at that bit of news.
In my opinion the Philippines would be a good place for a very quiet holiday, no one there any more all at sea on cruise ships.
No lie, the majority of crew on most are now from there.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Phiippines seamen
Cunard got rid rid of the Filipinos when they flagged out to Bermuda, and employed eastern europeans, who were so pig ignorant , unhygienic and unhelpful, I will never sail Cunard again. on the QUEEN ELIZABETH they were terrible.
Previously the Filipinos were excellent.
Holland America, employ Indonesians, from Java and Bali, excellent all of them, and all with a good sense of humour,
the barmen and wine waiters were all Filipinos. again excellent.
Paying off in Singapore last week there was a line at the gangway of beautiful javanese girls waitresses and all gave me a kiss and a hug. I didnt want to leave.
I tried to upload a photo of Tari , beautiful, but the site wont let me do so,
