Wonder if this is him at all just by the name you give and place he is from ,and his age.
Doc. thanks for that super quick response, the last one looks like a good fit. He will be around that age and his wife who I see there often is 78. I will be back again this afternoon.

send you a book with all the Flags and

    Dave,
that is a very generous offer, thank you.
However I am just back from visiting my relative in the same hospital as this man Arthur Dunn; I have to pass his room to reach y aunts, Ihad left him some sheets I downloaded from this site and left them with members of his family. Who came up with the names of LOF and Palm line, still working on the others he was with. However, Doc has researched his name and came up with three. The very last one was him, his family was amazed when I told them his date of birth, so big thanks to all you guys who have contributed, hie family is very grateful for your efforts. It is going to be a long haul for him but he is now giving me a thumbs up!

I have been in today and bingo! you did it. He is Arthur Dunn DOB 2/8/37, his family were really surprised when I trotted out his date of birth and I pass on their sincere thanks for your efforts.
They are continuing to try and get him to point out other companies he was with.

    Hello Tony
Thanks for reply and kind words ,good to know something may help/
ASs it is now confirmed that it is definately him ,i wonder if its not too late (sorry) for them to perhaps look into his Seamans Pouch now and apply for it ,as it will have basic Details..and I think also a Picture of him when he joined.
There will be a CRS10 Document as well and that will hold all of his Seatime career listing his Ships, and a lot more ,this would not only I feel help the poor old Chap but it would give the Family something so special to remember him by when the time comes which I sincerely hope will still be a way off.
    Bless him
I will look for the Link to his CRS10 and will post as soon as I find it
    Cheers

    Tony
His CRS10 Documents wil be in this Series at the National Archives Kew,it would be best if someone in Person could go and get it,but you can apply Online but may take a long time /
    Cheers

NB if applying they will have to supply the Reference Number of his Seamans Pouch as well as any other information that may be available all helps them at Kew to get the File relating to him alone . Only apply for his as the Series will contain many many other persons .

    Dungate K W to Dunn F

    https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ls/r/C10990526

An initial request would cost 8 GBP then once verified they will send you the cost of supplying, but if going in Person it is all Free.
But a small price to pay for someones possible good Health and recovery I say!

Thanks for all the help Doc. I was talking with his family yesterday and his progress is slow but noticeable and they expect him to be there for another five weeks, so its going to be a long haul. I have seen him almost every day for the last five weeks, and will be in again today to collect my aunty as she is being discharged .
I will try to get back in to see him but we are in for few more weeks getting my aunt rehabilitated back in her own place,
I doubt if his family will go to Kew as it is a 600 mile round trip from here, but I shall make them aware of what options are available to them.
Thanks again for all the help, it is very much appreciated.
