Re: Air strikes
When was that Russian flight reported last year inside uk airspace. Off the west coast of Scotland. That may have been the dummy run , so they will go for the east coast instead hoping to catch you unawares. Little do they know you also have an aircraft there as well. Plus the two minehunters at Rosyth. Cheers JWS. Oooops loose lips sink ships. Censorship will now have to resume blackouts will commence in the near future and identity cards of British origin will be distributed.. JS

Re: Air strikes
John, If this kicks off and we reach the point of no return,
NATO is an Alliance that consists of 29 independent member countries. Country by country, this page offers an overview of the links to national information servers and to the website of national delegations to NATO. Lets hope we get the full clout from them all also our Colonial friends worldwide. Terry. Sad thing is no winners. Terry.

#22 Delete Italy, they'll change sides anyway
#23 many politicians saying we should have had more talking before bombing, but as one politician pointed out, we've been talking for over seven years and no one's listening, so something more positive had to be done.
We'll be involved in other peoples conflicts whether we want to be or not, thus it has everbeen, one way or another

Re: Air strikes
watching the debate in parliament today what frightens me more is the voted in MPs they could not organise a mass sh.te and yet they suppose to be looking after their voters interests my god there is some stupid people in the house of commons did i get this wrong quote they wanted to have a live debate on the bombing of the chemical plants? not in secret how many lives would be at risk on land and sea?? the ministers are hand in hand with the news papers so anyone can catch it in the news the day and time of the action? the MPs were like children talking for the sake of making a noise i watched in total disbelief . how have we come to this who have we become and what do we pay into the united nations and NATO they so far are standing back from all troubles? jp

Re: Air strikes
Anything that goes to the United Nations Russia vetoes NATO consists of an awful lot of people that want defending but don't want to help and as far as I'm concerned having now stop listening to today in Parliament Parliament consist of a lot of people who can't get a proper job

Re: Air strikes
That was one of the philosophy’s of Trump early on Rob. Everyone has to put more into the kitty, and why should the USA have to pay more for its commitments. To defend others.people are too keen to point out his bad manners and individual lifestyle they take umbrage at. The long list of Teds looks very impressive but is only writing on paper and doesn’t mean too much. It’s a paper tiger without teeth. Anyhow the cost will soon be immaterial if things are allowed to go from bad to worse. I think the bombing was very restrained and does show it was well thought out, anything less would have beeen seen as throwing the towel in. The root cause should have been taken out regardless and give the phonies something to talk about. What was done was only a temporary measure and will recur again. JWS..

Re: Air strikes
Hi John.
IN an article in the paper here a few weeks ago, it was said that the people in the countries on the fringe of Russia, are fed up with their Govt being in NATO as there is now huge unemployment ,as Russia is cutting off trade with them,Russia is a country that keeps them going, whereas NATO countries don't give a shite.
One thing strikes me, a few years ago everyone on site was condemning the UK Govt for not recognizing the service the Merchant Navy had performed during the war, and the shabby way they were treated, it took nearly 70 years to get a day of remembrance, then they told ex seamen not to wear the ONLY medal the blokes who served in the Arctic got, the medal the Russian Govt gave them, a country that lost 50 million people who helped destroy the Nazis, how propaganda has now changed those views.
Des
PS Has the UK Govt struck a medal yet for the Arctic veterans?

Re: Air strikes
The Arctic Star is a military campaign medal which was instituted by the United Kingdom on 19 December 2012 for award to subjects of the British Commonwealth for service in the Second World War, specifically those who served on the Arctic Convoys north of the Arctic Circle.
