    Hi Lewis,
That was the Urdu language and the meaning was correct
No she did not send it, I have written to her several times on MN affairs but to no avail. so maybe if I did write in the Urdu language I would get a reply.
She came in from Pakistan and is a Lawyer by trade, been my MP since 2010. She employs her husband as an Administrator for her London Office.
She visits Pakistan and Kashmir, I have tried to see if she visits Boltonistan but not succeeded in seeing her yet. She lives in Surrey about 300 miles away. so is a good Boltonion.
That is one reason I cannot vote Labour,

Brian, Esther McVey used to be the Tory MP for Wirral west she was booted out because she was never there, she got a shoe in to a safe seat in Tatton. I think it was Jim Dixon may have referred to her as well in an earlier post.

Well reading that of her website she sounds really constituency friendly I think I would be disappointed in that

We have both state and Feral MP's to write to here in Oz.
Most will reply given time though the reply may not be what you want.

We can also contact our senator on matters and they will over time reply.

But if you write to an independent or Green, and we have too many, they will normally reply even though not your electorate.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Just received this reply today.

    Dear Mr McColl,

Thank you for your recent email to Margaret Greenwood MP regarding compensation for British seamen interned in West Africa during the Second World War. Please accept my apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

We have raised your query with the Ministry of Defence and will contact you again, once we receive a response.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further queries.

    Many thanks and kind regards,

    Ellie Smith
On behalf of Margaret Greenwood MP ((Case Ref: MG7596)

Brian I am sure if you post your Urdu reply we can get a translation sorted out somehow, Margaret Greenwood is the Labour MP for Wirral West.

So hopefully we can get some answers and if we leave party politics out of it we may get somewhere.#2 Ref: party politics
Lewis, that reply from your MP bugs me.
You asked where the monies were dispersed to by the Government of the day.
The reply she will ask the MOD, why the MOD?
Any monies paid direct to the Government would usually go to the Treasury for redistribution.
Is she actually admitting that she knows about the funds and their distribution, or is it a red herring to put you off the trail?
    Vic

#25 We will have to wait and see, As you see by the reply it is from a staffer but also the query has been allocated a case number so it can be chased up again. I assume what she looked at in my original email was the WAR so hence the MOD mention by her.
At least between us we have now at least two MP's looking into this matter now. I assume it will be one from each party lol. Let's hope though we get an answer.

I wonder what will happen if they find out where the money went to, instead of to the widows and orphans.
The People or person involved will be dead by now,

The widows will most probably be dead by now and the orphans will be pensioners.

But somewhere there will be some embarrassment.
