Totally agree with Doc, I was a Tourist class winger on the Windsor Castle, we had 10 bloods a head, first class were lucky if they had four , also on the Oronsay and Orontes we had 10 punters per winger, and yes seven courses served in an hour was hard, not impossible, I always advised anyone sailing to go second sitting as the winger had that little less pressure.

    horses duvets
    soup
    fish
    entree
    roast
    releve
    grill
    cold cuts
    sweet
    petit 4s
    savory

    savory

that is more than 4 to an average SA food disposal machine

Posted this before i done a xmas cruise on the Windsor Castle, Mid 70s always remember getting the munchies after a session in the pig, along with two or three other deck hands, We climbed into a cage that was locked up in one of the cold rooms what greeted us inside was a feast for a king. The climb back out wasn't so easy

you should always look at the hinge pins , quite a few were filed so you could pull them and open the door against the padlock

Rob, I still have a dozen or so UCL menus.

But in tourist we would put the soup in front of them before they even asked then out to the galley to get the fish course.
If there was something such as Lobster then you would need to get two or three serves for each of them.

If there had been an Olympic sport in eating, higher, wider, longer those Y..... Bloods would have won all the medals.
