Re: Pollution
I wonder if this would fly fit an igniter to a cows back end and when it passes wind, end of methane generation??
Seriously though a big help would be to stop de-forestation around the world. Look at Sumatra they are clearing forests, burning off and the smoke can be seen and smelt all the way beyond Singapore. I understand the reason is so they can grow crops which are for bio fuels? Also by doing this they are removing the natural habitat for wild life , the Orangutan is becoming an endangered spieces.
I know these nations need to develope but we have to find another way to help there economies.
The world needs to be planting more trees not destroying them.
Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for tools and shelter.

Re: Pollution
We learn eventually it just takes so long for us to learn. There are many powerful interests who do not want us to learn and will use every trick in the book to conceal the truth.
The heads of the major tobacco companies testifying in the States that smoking does not harm health.
President Trump denying global warning as a payback to the oil and mining industries who helped to get him elected.

Also guns are not dangerous !!!people who use them are, as stated by the American gun lobby, true but does aguy really need 40+ guns, here 's an idea if he wants a gun to go hunting (only for the pot) fine let him have one but one that can only fire 1 bullet at a time.

Re: Pollution
Hi All.
I'm guilty. I threw dunage, garbage, etc etc, over the wall the question is now have people learned anything are they any wiser? Of course we are, we see it on TV every night don't litter, don't be a tosser. Then a TV program out here a few months ago had a go at the amount of garbage and plastic bags being thrown into rubbish tips, not so said many people, we put our plastic bags in the big bins at the big stores like Woolworth's and Aldis etc, so the bloke on TV put a little tracker into one of the big stores bags, guess where it ended up, in a huge rubbish dump up in Queensland, big double B's trucking up from NSW and Victoria spewing diesel fumes all the way to a massive tip where all the stuff was dumped. No we might feel a little guilt; but no need to feel bad about what we did, at least we were ignorant about the environment in those days, but people today will not be able to say that.
cheers Des

Re: Pollution
Plan to ban one way plastic bags here in Oz from next year.
But a spokesman for the Northern Territory, where the one way bag was banned some 6 years ago, says it has been a failure.
The long lasting bags are now as common in waterways etc as the others were.
Brazil did undertake some years ago a massive reforestation program which was doing well. Is it still going?
Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Pollution
Don't know if it is still going on but we are never told which countries were buying all the timber when the rain forests were being cut down.
