Re: The Importance of fleets
you were lucky there jim ......i wouldnt have been as lucky .......i once sold a hundred thousand meters of tape to a dutchmam for binding to go on awnings it should have been polyester .......but sadly one of my staff got out nylon 66 which turns yellow and shrinks when it rains ..it was not a good time he was suing me for awnings allover the world the full cost of each awning200 to 500 quid each......but cappy ducked and dived like a good galley boy ........and got away ......but without giving anything away me and the dutchman both made money on it......what a buzz sorting that one out.......must say the buzz of business is sorely missed....regards cappy

Re: The Importance of fleets
Some 40 years ago a mate of mine was offered a one off job to creasote 8 fence panels for £12, i remember remarking to him that he could not make money on that job, he then told me of his plan, it was to get his large garden spray, fill with said creasote, and could be done in an hour, plus another hour to clean the sprayer. What he had forgotten was the other side of the fence was a row of cars !!!, they looked beautiful in their new colour. He was hours washing and polishing those cars, KT

Same thing happened to me when I was spraying our fence. Fortunately no cars involved but next door neighbours house got a decent dose of creosote.

Re: The Importance of fleets
Knew a guy here who used old motor oil to spray on fences, looked OK but the smell was not the best in the hot sun.
Happy daze John in Oz.
