    Default The Red Ensign

    On behalf of Roy Glencross

This afternoon the Red Ensign was permanently raised at the Merchant Navy Memorial after receiving permission from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the co-operation of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
It certainly gives much more significance to the Memorial and to the remembrance of Merchant Seafarers named there.
Trinity House have very kindly agreed to keep a watch on the Red Ensign.
    Roy Glencross.
