Default be aware of low walls

finally after 67 years I have, with the aid of too many John Smiths, managed for the first time ever to break a bone in my body.
Came out of the pub yesterday afternoon, called for a taxi to take me home and went to sit on a low wall around the pub entrance to await said taxi. Completely missed to wall and went **** over tit, landed on my left shoulder, result 3 hours in A & E, broken shoulder blade in two parts, arm in sling, appointment for fracture clinic Monday, feeling a right dipshit and unable to use/move left arm.
So if any of you are considering sitting on a low wall whilst waiting for anyone, be warned, low walls can be dangerous to your health.

Did you give it a kick John.? Broke my little finger about 6 months ago, without the excuse of John Smiths, Blamed the wife who was on crutches at the time and was looking over my shoulder to see she was alright, that was my excuse. Hope it wasn't your drinking shoulder. Cheers JWS

Two years ago I fractured a bone in my left foot by coming down awkwardly off the last step of a ladder.

I have now learned to fall with the ladder and not off it. Got plenty of practice this year pruning my five apple and pear trees.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

saw my x-ray today, managed to break the left clavicle in two places so it looks a bit of a mess. Doc checked with a consultant and they say no need to operate, just wait a couple of weeks and then start physio.
The guys I was drinking with were both ex. chief engineers, so this is another problem I can blame on engineers.

Ginger Beers, when the Captain rings F.W.E. the correct response is to stop the engine and not "its your round so get them in".
Anything to keep them happy was the result.
